THE WEEKLY DOSE YOU CRAVE!

EACH WEEK THIS PAGE WILL HAVE A SUMMARY OF PASTOR JEREMY'S SERMON FROM CRAVE'S WEDNESDAY EVENING SERVICE. THIS WEEK'S MESSAGE WAS ON:

Swordplay...Connecting Students with the Bible

Last week we learned about how important it is for us to constantly be in our Bibles. We took the verse that most beievers already know from 2 Timothy 2:15 to, "study and show thyself approved" (NKJV). How are we going to be ready to witness to someone using scripture if we don't read our Bibles. The 3 main points we discussed were: 1) Do we carry our Bibles just for show? I know sometimes we enjoy the "publicity" of being a Christian or to stir up some controversy, but is that the only reason why we should want to walk around with our Bibles? Of course not! 2) "I don't know the answer to that, but I'll find it." Often somes we feel compelled to be able to answer every question asked to us about the Bible. If you don't know the answer then say, "I don't know". Come on.....say it with me now...."I don't know". There now, that wasn't so hard was it? It's ok to admit when you don't know the answer to something. 3) Know key scriptures and be confident. I promise you will feel so much better when someone asks you a question about a broad topic like salvation and you can go directly to a key verse that you have marked. So, be confident that God is going to be with you and provide the answer because after all, you're studying scripture just for those situations, right?
